T-Code is Modal still outputs an M06

Hello,

I and setting up a post for a Leadwell V-60i and need to set the Tool as modal. When I set this option in the Tool Change Sequence output options to "T-code is modal" it will stop posting the T code but still posts an M06.

How can I set up my post not to post an M06 when the T code is modal?

Does any one have a post for this machine that they can share?

Surface milling by cutlines removed in Creo2

Thankyou PTC, for removing one of the best features in your manufacturing option.

I can see you 'tried' to replace it with cutline milling, but whilst the end result may be the same in terms of NC code, the command interface is seriously slow, clunky and has brought my workstation to it's knee's on the multiple attempts using it.

Creo 2 (M020) now uninstalled and back to Creo 1, I will not renew maintainace contract unless this improves or goes back to how it was, there's no point if the newer versions aren't any better !?

Just don't understand why you (PTC) have to fiddle with features that work REALLY well, and keep your existing user-base from straying to other software, of which some are now much better and cheaper to license

Thankyou again

Paul

CAD is OK, but CAM is not a CAM

Dear PTC CEO and programers.
Deae PROE FANS

I wrote this to the PTC, but no response.

Forward message>

I am using PROE WF5 PRO/nc as cad/cam system
CAD is OK I like it.
BUT!!! CAM-PRO/NC is not a CAM. When you make something new it is 80% buttons an menus, but engine is the same all the time. You are making olny small changes. Your "CAM" can not compute toolpaths on backround (multitasking)It is not using multiple core technology, I am siting on my chair an waiting for hours. (I have XEON64bit 8GB RAM HP Z400) So wake up PTC. You have a lot of bugs in your "CAM" I am not your employe tester. Bugs are in re-rough, Rough, Finishing, Profile, local mill and surface steps. There are bugs and engine is not good too.
I am using EDGECAM too. If you will sleep, I will throw proe away.(to the recycle bin)

Sorry for my english. It is bad, but it is better then then your "CAM"
You have two options
1.new engine for PRO/NC
2.integrate pro/toolmaker in pro/nc

Hi,

I am trying to create a post-processor for Heidenhain iTNC 530 controller.

I have few questions in writing blocks to PP from Creo.

1. How to add BLK FORM 0.1 Z X-0 Y-0 Z-77 from CAD?

2. What options in option file generator or Creo has to be enabled/ disabled for M127, M129?

Creo CNC Program and post processor code generating capabilities

Hi,

Currently we are dealing with 2 machines at client site . Now how can we know that if code generated by Creo Machining extension can be directly integrated with these machines or not. If we require to develop post processsor then how much it will cost to develop new post procesor.

Is there some list of machines and manufacturers which show direct integration or post processor requirement? I am from sales back ground so i need basic info.

Can I turn on/off individual coordinate systems/features in different drawing views?

Hi again,

Im wondering how, if possible, I can hide or display certain features in different views of the same drawing. For example, in the image I uploaded, I have two coordinate systems, and I want to display only the Blockup csys in Top view 1 and only the OP1 csys in Bottom view 2. This image it doesnt actually matter so much, but when I have some jobs with three or four co-ordinate systems all overlapping or nearby to each other it can get real confusing.

Force Out ROTATE in the ncl

Is there a way, other than inserting a CL command in Tool Motion, to force each sequence to force out ROTATE even if it does not need to move? I'm trying to do it with my post, but I get the last rotation or a double rotation. By using the CL command, I have to put warning comments if anyone else tries to resequence anything.

Dynamic milling like MasterCAM?

Good morning,

It was brought to my attention by a new coworker that use to
program using MasterCAM on how to improve our machining process. He showed
me some videos of the Dynamic milling and it looked really fast and
efficient. Would anybody that is using Creo Manufacturing have some
guidelines and parameter settings to help me achieve this with Creo 3.0? I
think we can do the same thing that is in MasterCAM.

Thanks.

I am looking for a text font for engraving like Leroy with wider character spacing.

The spacing on most of the single line character fonts in Creo do not allow for the width of the cutter used in engraving. Is there a way to space the characters? Is there a source for engraving fonts which consider cutter width?

I am sure this information is somewhere but I can't find it. Changes for lots of other things but not CAM.

Creo NC - How to create a custom tool Parameter file

For example, I would like "COORDINATE_OUTPUT" to default to SEQUENCE_SYS instead of the current MACHINE_SYS every time I make a new tool path.

Also, is there a way to custom populate the quick parameter options under the "parameter" tab?  Common used parameters such as FIXT_OFFSET_REG used to set your G54-59, should be readily available, and I would not have to open the advanced parameter to access it.  Any way to do this?

CNC Machining within Creo 2.0

Hi all,

Used Creo purely for 3D modelling and 2D drawing for years now, but have been asked to investigate the use of Cad/Cam for our facility.  Looked around on the website and found the extension called PTC Creo Complete Machining Extension, but then tried within Creo itself to produce a Manufacturing model, by starting a new part and selecting Manufacturing from the type menu and Expert Machinist from the sub-type, which led me into a type of NC wizard.  What functionality for cad/cam does Creo 2.0 give me, or does it tempt you in and then get you to purchase an add on like Complete Machining.

Thanks in advance

Creo Machining Tutorial

Hi,

I just learned about the creo machining feature and I am curious how to use it. If I have just a regular .prt file where do I start? The NC manufacturing seems to demand a .asm file and not a .prt file to import. I would appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial or reading material.

Thanks!

Bonjour,

ModuleWorks to replace Vericut

$

Hi all, just read this in article CS226148,

  • ModuleWorks will replace NCCHECK & VERICUT starting from versions below:
    • Creo Parametric 2.0 M210
    • Creo Parametric 3.0 M090
  • Starting from above versions, Vericut won't be available for use anymore
    • To perform material removal simulation, select NC sequence from model tree > RMB> Material Removal Simulation, it will access ModuleWorks
    • The default value of config.pro option nccheck_type is changed to moduleworks
  • Main Reasons of the choice of ModuleWorks is that :
    • It offers the capability to Simulate Material Removal Embedded in Creo Parametric (Only NCCHECK allowed that)
    • It is not limited as NCCHECK was in the past
    • It allows usage of OpenGL libraries used by Creo and improves by this way User Experience (possible smooth rotations of the manufacturing assembly in Creo When Material is being removed in ModuleWorks)

What do you think about this ? Do you know ModuleWorks ?
