Hi! Are there any plans to include machine kinematics simulation along with Material Removal Simulation in ModuleWorks?
This combination of simulations would be extremely useful!! I have not found any way of combining this so far.

Hi All
I am having a problem replacing a reference part in a manufacturing assembly, the part is in a family table, so I am selecting from within the parts files family table to replace.
The model is constrained by the A1 center line of the model with the center line of the chuck, and a datumn plane.
Since swapping to creo 2.0, every time I replace a model, I loose the A1 axis constraint, and have to re select every time, this is starting to become a pain.
I can't see anything that could cause this, and it only started with Creo 2.0.
Has anyone else had a simular problem.
Peter
dear;
As per our company IT policy we are unable to move files like cgtpro60 to the server ,
Each and every time when we check the tool path simulation with very cut ,cgtpro60 file creates , so after completing a project, I have to go to each folder and remove above mentioned file to move CAM data to the server.
could you please help me on this ?
please check the attached file for more info.
Hello everybody,
I have a new PC including Creo Parametric 2.0 (M230) get. Now I vemisse in the PRO-NC the Vericut simulation, it can be that this is no longer present in the package?

Hi all
I know I may be asking a silly question, but how do I import a parameter structure into a model.
Basically I have created a set of Parameters and relations that do a lot of calculations.
Now I can save the relations to a txt file and import them without out a problem, but the Parameter structure that goes with the relations can be saved , but you can't re import them into another model.
I have to recreate each parameter exactly each time I reload into a new blank model, making sure it is typed in correctly.
Is there a way to import Parameters, or is this another thing to add to PTC wish list.
Anyone try to define a BSP or BSPT thread in Creo? Do we try custom tools or maybe define it as a tapered mill? Even without any check surfaces the tap I defined will not go past the start surface.
Hi,
I just learned about the creo machining feature and I am curious how to use it. If I have just a regular .prt file where do I start? The NC manufacturing seems to demand a .asm file and not a .prt file to import. I would appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial or reading material.
Thanks!

It is like it is reading ahead on RETRACT and anticipating a move to B180.
Same Creo file, just Use Rotation on or off. Seems to be in the .ncl somehow. Anyone else see this problem? Creo Parametric 2.0 Date Code M220.
Hi i'm just wondering if there's a way to set default parameter conditions for my manufacturing processes.
Eg, setting Coolant to 'Mist' by default,
setting Circular Interpolation to 'Points Only' by default.
These are just a couple of the settings I would like to customize so I don't have to keep changing them in every single process I create. It would also be nice for other people that come and program for my machines, so as not to get mistakes when machining.
I forgot to mention im using Creo 2.0 Manufacturing
Bonjour,
I recently loaded Creo 2, M240 (was at M090) and I've noticed and issue with my apt files.
When I output an Operation, I can Post Process my apt files as I did before, but if I run a Material Removal Simulation (now Moduleworks, was Vericut) I have to search for those apt files because the Material Removal Simulation is looking at the Working Directory instead defaulting to the home directory where all my apts are stored.
I've scrolled though the config options, but nothing seems to describe what I am looking for. The Post Processor seems to always look to the home directory for apt files to process.
I appreciate any help with this.
Thank You,
Matt

I recently updated Creo 2.0 from M090 to M240 and noticed on a couple of occasions that I am getting some flats in the tool path when using Cutline to Circle Interpolate a hole. I have seen this before and can sometimes fix it by loosening the tolerance, but it has been a long time since I've seen it and I do a fair amount of this.
Is this anyone else has noticed or am I alone on this one?

I am trying to create a milling tool from a solid model. It is a special shape that I want to make sure cuts correctly. The solid model has 1 feature - Revolve. When I am in a manufacturing file, these are the steps I am taking: click Tools Setup, File, New, Open Tool Library - By Reference... and I choose the solid model. But nothing happens. I remember in training we did this and the model came right up. I think the difference may be that the solid had named dimensions such as length, cutter dia. etc. Do I need to do this with my solid model for it to work? If so, how do I name those dimensions in my solid? Is there anything else I am missing? I have attached the cutting tool file just in case that helps.
Thanks,
Brandon
I want to use cutter compensation in a profilmilling sequence. I enabled the options for cutcom, witch prints G41/G42 in my tab file.
The problem is that already in the cl-file are the wrong coordinates. They are not influenced by turning the cutcom option on.
What can I do to get the right path for my cutter compensation?
(In the attachment is my little test project)
I need to use pro weld option. So can you send document of that.I'm not awareness of pro weld.
